Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are back on as a couple.

But Wednesday evening, they were seen separately, each pop star leaving church services in Los Angeles.

Justin, 23, who wore a green bomber jacket over a powder pink T-shirt, had a funny expression on his face.

The pop star was standing at the open door of a large white automobile.

Meanwhile, Selena was seen heading out of church while wearing a cozy-looking brown sweater, its turtleneck pulled up far enough to partly obscure her face.

Wearing blue jeans, Selena's hair seemed to have been pulled back into a bun, and she had a colorful bag hanging from her right shoulder.

Justin and Selena, who previously had a rocky on-off romance from 2010 to 2015, have apparently gotten back together.

On Monday, Justin shared an Instagram photo of himself walking down a sunlit street alongside his 42-year-old father Jeremy.

'I️ love continuing to get to know my father I️ love working through hard things to get to the good things.. relationships are worth fighting for especially with family!! Love you forever and always daddy!' he captioned.

Justin told Billboard in 2015 that his father was 'not in a place where he could raise a kid' at the time that he - Justin - was a born.

'He was immature. He left for like a year when I was about 4, went to British Columbia, came back on Father's Day. I remember my mom said: "If you're going to be here, you have to be here." There's a misconception that he's this deadbeat dad, but he has been in my life since. I was with him on weekends and Wednesdays.'

This Monday, Selena made her Instagram page private - though the 130 million followers she already has can still view her page.

Shortly beforehand, she had posted an Instagram Story that appeared to have expressed her displeasure with a recent Billboard profile of her.

Over a super-grabbed screenshot of part of the story, Selena wrote: 'Never will I let another human being guess my words ever again. Or invite them in my home. That is so hurtful. The most "ridiculous" part of that is no one knowing my heart when I say things.'

What she had super-grabbed was the first two paragraphs of the Billboard story.

'There's a five-foot teddy bear sprawled across the kitchen floor in Selena Gomez's North Hollywood home,' begins the first paragraph.

 '"I know, I know," says Gomez, rolling her eyes, acknowledging that the stuffed animal doesn't quite blend with the trio of armchairs nestled in the inviting, marble-accented nook,' continues the Billboard profile.

It goes on to quote Selena as saying: '"It was a gift, and at first I thought: 'This is so ridiculous, I can't wait until I give it away to another person.'"

That was the end of the first paragraph, the second one consisting solely of the sentence: 'But Gomez, 25, hasn't let go of it -- yet.'
